Can`t make network manager work properly

My wired internet connection works fine at startup, and I can connect to wireless network through console, but obviously it`s not the best way to do so. So I`ve installed the network manager. As many people did, I had problem it didn`t want to start if I`ve logged in as a normal user, so I`ve copier the dbus config files from this post:

The network manager starts now, but when I click on it`s icon on a system tray it says Network Managment disabled. When i put my cursor on icon without clicking it says "Networking information not available".. Network monitor finds the eth0 and says it works perfectly fine, but f.e. in network connections I can`t select any tab, except VPN.

since you said that network manager is disabled, try this:

/etc/rc.d/networkmanager stop
rm /var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state
/etc/rc.d/networkmanager start

you can also edit the networkmanager.state file.

Well, i solved part of the problem with changing my daemons a bit, and putting it with hal after dbus.

Still, when I run networkmanager and create a network it accepts all settings etc. but it wil halt at the connecting status. In both, wireless and wired. Also, after running network manager I can no longer use internet, as I lose my current network connection.

Okay, now I have no idea what`s wrong. If I log in as a root, everything works fine.... whyyyyy?

Well, I have a few questions to which answers might help me.
1.should I have network or !network in daemons? Cause in 2 different versions of wiki there are different informations.
2.Is this a correct setup for /etc/rc.conf :

wlan0="dhcp"
INTERFACES=(lo !eth0 !wlan0)

In case of both quesitons, I`ve tried many options and changed them many times.. so many times I don`t know anythin anymore, I`d be grateful if someone could tell me what I`ve been changing all this time actually....
