I don't know if this is the right section where to post because I really don't know in which part of the system is my problem.
I'm using an Intel Core i3 with integrated graphics with Arch64 and Gnome. The problem is that, after the login the screen I begin to have a lot of black intermittent flashes. This blinking is not regular, I really didn't find any cause to this.
Before last upgrade it seems for example that programs running under wine caused more blinks than others but now the situations become worse. Also now that I'm writing (using the chromium browser) I'm having really a lot of black screens, also if I don't touch the keyboard.
This problem came after a reinstall, I didn't remember to have encountered it before.
Thanks for the attention and, if my english is not clear, please tell me where and I will try to give better explanations.

I have this problem too, and it's very annoying.

Upgrading to kernel 2.6.37 from testing solved the problem.

I'm also having this problem with a Core i3 and integrated graphics. My guess is that it's a bug in the intel driver.

I am running kernel 2.6.37, and intel-dri, xf86-video-intel, xorg-server, xorg-server-common, mesa, libdrm, libgl all from [testing] to no avail.
