KDE 4.6 still no system connection
With networkmanager and kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement installed, I still can't set up a "system connection". The option is greyed out, and it has been like that since I-don't-know-when. I thought that this was going to be fixed in KDE 4.6... pretty sure I read this somewhere. I searched the internet for related articles, but can't seem to find anything about it in relation to KDE 4.6. Does anyone know more about this?
(and please, don't come up with alternatives.. ;-) I know all about wicd, networkmanager-gnome and even setting up my wifi connection manually. I'd just like to use kde stuff on my kde desktop, and I like the plasma widget).

Have you installed kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement ?
Ia m not sure if it will work (never used KDE in my life) but I have seen a few posts about kde users having issues with network management and installing this seems to help. YMMV

Yes, it is installed... that's the applet where the option is greyed out.

@Inxsible: it's allright... :-)
@ kokoko3k: it's not related. The feature "System Connection", (a network connection which can be used user-independent and system-wide) hasn't been implemented, which is why it was greyed out in the applet. I thought it was implemented as a feature for KDE 4.6, but it still doesn't seem to be there.
The downside of this is, that the network connection only comes up after login, which takes a while, espessially for a wifi connection.
