I'm finally getting my xmonad/dzen2/conky together, and this is what it looks like so far:
- Still a work in progress though, it should have an "under construction" sign on it, like every webpage from 1996
(sorry for weird square thumbs)

Why use xcompmgr and not xfwm4's built-in compositor?
I found xfwm4's lack of options disturbing... Maybe there are more than what's configurable using xfwm4-tweak-settings, but I never tried finding any. I wanted to be able to specify shadow radius and fading menus, mostly. Then I got tired of all the prettiness to I'm back to xmonad. Feels good.
