I was going to install SELinux, but judging by the Wiki, it makes it sound like selinux-coreutils conflicts with coreutils.
I use my computer on a day to day basis, mostly for homework and stuff (Mind you it's IT and Network related), so I don't want anything to break on it.
Is SELinux going to break if I install it, and is it even worth it?
Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped.

There are many users using SELinux, and obviously its working for them. So I am not sure how you can generalize that by installing SELinux, everyone will have a broken machine.
As to whether its worth it, well only you can tell that. It does require some compiling and replacing of packages, but if the end result is something that you want/need, then it might be worth it for you.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

SELinux is unlikely to break your system if you know what you are doing. It is very powerful, but you may also want to consider simpler solutions such as TOMOYO Linux or AppArmor. All that is required to be installed to test out TOMOYO Linux is "pacman -S tomoyo-tools". Check out the Arch Wiki page in my sig for more information.
TOMOYO Linux: Mandatory Access Control.

No, unless you work for the NSA, CIA, FBI etc.
