Ae1000

Hey, Ive tried following multiple guides to getting my linksys ae1000 to work, but nothing I try works. Lsusb outputs:

Bus 002 Device 003: ID 13b1:002f Linksys AE1000 v1 802.11n [Ralink RT2870]

So I tried blacklisting all of the other conflicting modules and using just the Ralink RT2870, but it did not work. Im really confused and just want this adapter to work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Ae1000

What are you trying to do specifically, get it work through wpa_supplicant, wicd, or a networkmanager-applet?  Regardless what you will need to do is download a RaLink driver from their website and install it.  Then blacklist a bunch of drivers.  Whenever I need to go through this process, I always use this helpful guide:  https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 61#p900261.    Btw RT2870 is not the driver you should be using, it's RT3572 if I remember correctly.
