About the closing of System administration topic in this forum

I know that this is history but excuse me if I say what an ugly thing I found, a mayor topic being closed because - in my opinion - an error in naming.

If you want to discuss complex issues you should name that topic "complex issues", not "system administration" that covers out another wide range of topics that go from very simple to really complex.

Now and because of this I don't know where to post my system maintenance and administration questions.

There are a number of other fora, each with a range of topics: pick one of those. Looking at your post history, I see nothing that would have merited inclusion in that board anyway.

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=266299 would have belonged into the NC - which is why the syssadmin board was closed itfp…

5 years using arch linux and I'm still a newbie. Thanks for claring it. At least I know how to use bash and also my filesystem doesn't seem to be on good shape, running arch linux on a well mantained but ocassionally ruined filesystem is not a newbie problem.

No, it definitely was libedev, though it possible has been libevdev or libudev which package I manually renamed In order to avoid this error

That's PEBKAC, not Sysadmin.

There's nothing to discuss here; the SA board is closed. I was the one that originally proposed it; if I can accept it was a failure, you should too please.

Closing.
