can't mount usb drive after update

i never had an issue with mounting in all the time im using linux, till now. so im hoping for some guidance

my file manager is pcmanfm. it can see the icon of my kingston device, but says NOT AUTHORISED when i try to mount it.
so i ran it as root. im getting an error right in the terminal: ** (pcmanfm:4443): DEBUG: FmJob error: Permission denied

so ive installed rox filer. I found my discs in /dev/disc/by-lable/kingston

and the response was: I don't know how to open '/dev/disk/by-label/KINGSTON'
